SEO Case Study Social Stacking And Bookmarking

SEO Case Study – No Link Ranking and Social Stacking

I’d like to share a case study of a very recent client-ranking project I did. The keywords my client was going for were pretty high competition.  Not outrageous amounts of searches. The searches ranged from about 950 a month to about 1100 searches a month. The thing that we want to focus on here is the amount of competion for those clicks. Google Adwords clicks were costing people $23.00 a click. That means if my client were going to use Adwords he would be paying $2185.00 to compete. Here is how we get this number. We will use the low month. 950 searches

    1. Google Adwords ads only get about 10% of the clicks when people search so my client could expect about 95 clicks that month.
    2. 95 clicks X $23.00 = $2185.00

This isn’t a problem if every new client pays you $10,000 for your service. However if you are earning $750.00 for every new client, you better have some serious sales copy on your webpage to convert those cold clicks. You will need to convert 4 clients a month.

That’s where I came in. My client had no site. Didn’t even own the domain. We started easy and here is what we did and what you can do too.

  1. We made a Wordpress site on his brand new domain and created 4 pages. The pages were titled after his keywords. And no I’m not sharing that info.
  2. We created content on 2 of those pages. Just small 300-400 word articles with some pics and alt text (very important)
  3. This is where the magic (and super simple) happened. We created accounts on the 4 main social media sites: Facebook, Google+, Youtube, and Twitter. All of these sites linked back to his main site (duh that’s pretty obvious) and also each one of them linked to each other. That’s called “social stacking” and it works great right now. By the way when you start a new site, absolutely positively do this BEFORE getting links from other sites or PBN’s. Let Google see that you are not hiding or being sneaky (by the way, I made sure the site was indexed before social stacking).

So what happened? We used Wincher to track the keyword rankings and they did the “Google Dance” a little bit and then shot right up the SERP’s. We still have more work to secure the top spot but my client is extremely extremely pleased and understands this is a process and you should too if you are hiring an SEO agency. If they say they guarantee you top spot in a month or less, lace up your sneakers and run as fast as you can. With this technique and this hungry competition we made it to the 2nd page in a month. But these are rankings that will stick. Also I should mention, my client’s competition is being done by some the best Boston SEO agencies.

I know this stuff seems so simple yet so many SEO’s get hung up on getting the super powerful links right away that it looks unnatural to Google. Also this is just the off page SEO. The on page SEO is extremely important. This article was long enough but if you would like me to tell you the on page SEO I did shoot me message at agpunkseo@gmail.com or leave a comment below. Also if you feel that I gave you some value with this article please comment below and share it on some of your social media sites. Thank you very much
